Kino What?

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having an awesome day! It’s November 2nd and it was 62 degrees out up here in Maine! It felt like summer. I was playing outside with my dog wearing a tank top (I wore the tank top not my dog).

Today I want to write about fitness, and what I have been doing to get to a point where I feel more confident about my body. Growing up and all through High School I had this skinny physique that people always teased me about. I would always get the comment “jeeze Mark go eat a burger, you’re going to waste away to nothing soon”. People meant it to be light hearted, but it hurt.

Honestly, this phase of my life lasted up until about 4 months ago when I just got fed up with the comments and decided to make a change. No I am not jacked now and look like some model, but my confidence is pretty jacked. I want to share with you how I did it.

Kinobody. That’s my big secret. It’s a website and a lifestyle that has been developed by a man by the name of Gregory O’Gallagher. He has released several programs in recent years that are nothing like the main stream stuff you see on TV. No lifting 6 times a week for 2 hours a day. No eating 8 meals a day. None of that stuff that everyone hates and finds hard to stick to.

Greg set out to change the fitness industry. He did just that.

I followed Greg’s “Greek God Program”. Yeah that name might sound a little over the top, but that is his personality. He’s a very confident individual and rightfully so. Anyways, I did that program for a month and ended up quitting. Not due to the program, but I had some stuff in life come up that just knocked me out of my groove.

A month and a half passed and I get an email from Greg. He says to check out a program being released by a friend of his named Trent McCloskey. I go check out his story, the program, and fall for it instantly. I purchase the program the first day it comes out, and that’s the first day my life changed. This program is called Gain The Muscle

Following this program I found out how to make the foods I love to eat fit in my diet, if you’re curious about this look into IIFYM dieting (if it fits your macros). I’ll post a link to some info on it at the bottom. I also only had to lift 3 days a week, and for 1-1.5 hours at a time!

Over the first two months my body weight increased 10lbs, my body fat percentage remained roughly the same, and I got stronger in most of my lifts. All of this dedication paid off, not just in the gym but in life.

I’m not saying you have to lift to feel confident. However, find something to pour all your emotions into, something that you love and that you want to strive to get better at. By doing this it shows you that you can change when you really work at it. That’s what were trying to do here right? Work to change our lives and our mindsets and be more confident.

I am by no means endorsed by Trent or Greg (although if either of you see this I would love to be, just saying haha), but I would recommend to anyone interested in changing their fitness regime to check their stuff out. There’s a program for anyone, big or small or anywhere in between. The stuff works, and it’s simple. I’m all about simple, you guys know that.

That’s basically it for today, nothing super over the top or deep, but I do want to include my fitness journey and maybe help some of you find a more enjoyable track for fitness. I promise I will come back soon with some deeper content. I’m just feeling on the up and up lately and want to spread that to everyone!
