My First Ever Blog Post

What is up blogging universe! My names Mark Smith, I’m 19 years old, and I’m brand new to the blogging scene, but with that said I plan to come at you readers with some great content, great energy, and just all around greatness!

Who is Mark Smith? Well you could check out the “about” tab and learn about me and what I’m doing on the internet, but since I’m a nice guy (sometimes) I’ll give you a quick run down right here. You already know my name, but I’m from the great and very bitterly cold state of Maine. If you don’t know where that is I’m not surprised, but it’s that little state up in the very top right of the map just under our friendly neighbor Canada. The reason I’m here is because for most of my life I struggled with self confidence, and if I’m being honest with you (which I always will be, yes even if it hurts) I still lack self confidence today.

The purpose of my blog is to relate to those who have similar lacks of confidence. You will notice I refrain from saying confidence “problem” or “issue” because those simply aren’t the right words.. My goal is to be the person to lend a helping hand to those who seek to develop more confidence, restore lost confidence, and to help them maintain that confidence.

To do this I’ll be writing an article or two a week. I’ll mainly write about my own experiences, style tips, fitness, nutrition, as well as psychology and personal growth. I want to share with as many people as I can my journey. I want everyone to see the ups and downs of my past and to be able to see the me that is NOW! I also want as many people as I can to come forward with me into my future by reading along with my articles, reaching out to me via email, giving me feedback on posts, telling me what you want to see, and asking any questions you might have.

The coming posts will be more about my past. I am choosing to blog because I want to make as many connections around the world as I can, and to develop a community that supports one another.

This is the end of my first ever blog post! Thanks for reading and welcoming me into this big scary blogging universe! More articles to come shortly so keep an eye out and hit that follow button!

If you have any questions or ever want to talk shoot me an email or leave a comment. Have a great day!

  1. Wow, this is absolutely wonderful. I’m glad to see a blog which is concerned with adding internal growth with someone, as someone who has dealt with and overcome some pretty bad confidence issues, I’m glad you’re here to concede a helping hand to those who need it. Looking forward to your posts!

Thank you, it means a lot that this blog has relevance in your life. Confidence struggles are very hard to go through. From my experience it feels like you’re always on your own while going through it to. I want to show people that they’re not alone. If this blog can do that for someone, than it is serving its purpose.

  2. I love the title of your blog and the beautiful firework photo. It is a very striking way to present your blog…. and left me with a big smile even before I read your first sentence. Welcome to the WordPress blogging community. I suspect you may love it as much as I do.

  3. Well the first blog I check out and I will be following along. I love your writing style and am very interested to see where this blog will go. Confidence has been a capricious thing for me so I look forward to seeing your perspective. Keep up the good work 🙂
